Our website only features a selection of the products available to buy from our shop. If you can't find what you're looking for, please phone (+353) (0)1 831 4464 or email us on info@theknittingroom.ie. and we can discuss your requirements and order items if possible.

 

STOCK ONLINE

The products shown on our website reflect the stock available to buy here in our shop. Very occasionally, an item will go out of stock in our shop without our website being updated to reflect the stock status before an online order is received for the same product. You will be promptly advised on such occasions. Out of stock items can be put on back order and dispatched as soon as possible.

 

DELIVERY

Orders received before 12 noon will be dispatched on the same day (if a working day, otherwise the next working day). In the unlikely event of a delay, you'll be promptly advised. Orders dispatched to addresses in Ireland are usually received within a day or two. Orders dispatched to addresses in the UK and Europe are usually received within 10 days. Orders dispatched to addresses in the USA and Canada are usually received within 14 days.

The Knitting Room has a weight based shipping cost, and this is calculated before checkout.

Approximate weights & prices are below for example only:

Ireland             Less than 250g: €4.80     250-500g   €6.20       500g-1k  €8.99

UK                    Less than 250g: €6.50     250-500g   €7.50       500g-1k €10.99

Europe             Less than 250g: €7.00     250g-500g €8.00       500g-1k €11.50

Online orders can only be placed by addresses from the above regions however we do ship worldwide, if your location isn't above and you wish to order please contact us on info@theknittingroom.ie for a delivery quote.

 

PAYMENT

We accept Paypal and all major credit and debit cards, such as Visa, Mastercard and Laser for orders placed online. By placing an order, you consent to payment being charged to your debit/credit card account. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account before the dispatch of the goods to you. We accept direct bank transfer payments and postal orders for orders placed by telephone. Payment in full must be received before your telephone order is considered placed and can be dispatched. We also accept cash payments for reserve and collect in store.

 

Online credit and debit card payments are securely processed through Stripe Payments, a leading U.S. online payment gateway. Through Stripe, The Knitting Room provides buyers with the same superior payment security as multinational companies such as Fitbit, Pinterest, Shoppify, Kickstarter, Reddit, Twitter, Wired,Salesforce.com, Squarespace, and The Guardian . As all credit and debit card details are processed to the highest security standards, The Knitting Room has no access to your credit or debit card details when you place an online order . Only your registration details can be accessed by us so that we can process your orders. Your credit or debit card details are not stored at all.We promise to protect your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003. We will NEVER share your details with a 3rd party.

 

ONLINE RETURNS

If it turns out that a yarn you ordered online isn't as you expected or was ordered in error, we are happy to accept returns within 10 days of our dispatch date (20 days for worldwide orders). We offer credit or exchange for such returns (less actual shipping charge).Outside of this 10-day period, our usual shop Returns Policy applies (below)

 

SHOP RETURNS POLICY

In addition to your Statutory Rights, we’re happy to accept returns within 30 days of purchase, provided yarn is unused, and we still have the same dye lot in stock. We offer an exchange or credit note for such returns.

Please keep your receipt. Without it, we can’t verify the price you paid and so can only offer an exchange/credit to the same value

Unfortunately we cannot accept returns of patterns, books, skeins that have been wound and sale or clearance items.
